Fine dining in Seminyak

The following culinary venues are the most renowned and most talked about in Seminyak’s fine-dining landscape. In general, meal prices at these venues are quite high for Bali standards, but relatively reasonable when compared to Western restaurants of the same calibre. We leave it up to you to decide which ones are worth the splurge!

Mama San

Mama San

Located at the corner of Sunset Road and Kerobokan in Seminyak, Mama San is a gastronomic force to be reckoned with. Serving different variations of spicy beef salads, hot bamboo dumplings and steamed fish in banana leaves, the asian-inspired dishes at Mama San are best enjoyed when shared with others. Reservations are usually needed well in advance of your preferred meal time, but there is also a communal bar and lounge on the second story for more spontaneous dinner dates.

Sardine

A popular artisan venue owned by a French couple, Sardine is known for their innovative seafood dishes and daily changing menu. The restaurant itself sits in a bamboo pavilion in a setting of green rice paddies and banana trees, serving up fresh organic produce from the farm along with the freshest fish. Ask the chef for his personal recommendation that day!

You can always count on exquisite French fare to put your partner in the mood for romance. Overlooking a field of lily ponds and lotus blossoms, Métis is another 5-course establishment on our list of fine dining restaurants in Seminyak. Serving fine French wines and gourmet cheese platters, in addition to an extensive menu of lamb shank, lobster bisque and more, this open-air venue is ideal for large groups as well as intimate special occasions.

Sarong

Serving a fusion of Indonesian, Thai and Indian flavors, Sarong is famous for their large portions and spicy dishes. Patrons of this Petitenget locale can find a range of options on the menu for every appetite, from green chicken curry and red snapper to crispy pork belly and Tandoori chicken. Expect to pay around 900,000 rupiah ($80 more or less) for a dinner for two, including a couple entrees, appetizer and drinks.

Warisan

Warisan

Set away from the main restaurant strip of Seminyak, you could almost walk right past Warisan without knowing what lies inside. Step through the front doors, however, and you will find tables elegantly situated around an open courtyard garden. Live jazz music adds to the already romantic atmosphere; an ideal spot for a dinner for two. We recommend their bisque lobster ravioli and salmon confit for entrees.
